PhD in Animal Sciences by ESALQ/University of São Paulo (USP) with research internship at Iowa State University (ISU) in the area of Animal Breeding, Genetics and Genomics. Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of São Paulo (USP), research in animal traceability in the area of molecular biology and research carried out at the University of São Paulo (USP). Parco Tecnologico Padano / University of Milan in Italy. Postdoctoral fellow in animal genetic and genomic breeding at Iowa State University (ISU). She has experience in the field of animal production, genetics and functional genomics. Performance in the area of identification and use of molecular markers for the genetic selection and traceability of products of animal origin; differential gene expression; identification of candidate functional mutations; effect of nutritional elements on gene expression (nutrigenomics). Currently working with bioinformatics tools for the analysis of large-scale genotyping data (GWAS), new-generation sequencing (Seq-RNA, Seq-DNA, miRNA, sRNAs, etc.), called SNPs and INDELs applied to animal production and better understanding of biological processes responsible for characteristics of economic interest. These tools are currently of paramount importance to broaden our professional, academic, and research horizons due to the rapid evolution and accessibility of phenotypic, genetic, and environmental data made available by researchers and stored in publicly accessible databases. She participates in and collaborates with different national and international research groups and has disseminated the knowledge acquired through courses, training, participation in disciplines, orientation, co-orientation, review of articles, evaluation of scientific works, elaboration of didactic text and, defense and qualification stalls. Thesis indicated to the USP/2015 award.
