About Alisha Bhandari

I'm currently a sophomore at Pace University pursuing a double major BSc in Digital Cinema and Filmmaking and Art History. I was first exposed to the art in 2018 when I was accidentally placed into a filmmaking course as a high school freshman. I instantly fell in love with all aspects that were available to me: producing, directing, cinematography, and editing. As a junior in high school, I was given the opportunity to join a program which enabled me to research the affects of the color green in movies on the changes in mood in an Americanized audience. While completing this project, I was completely enthralled in the research process, and have since completed one literature review and two research papers published to my high school. I have written and edited 15 fiction narrative films, 14 short comedy skits for our high school TV show 'FirstTake', 5 promotional videos, and 4 dance videos in the span of three years. In addition to the filmed and edited pieces, I have written 9 additional scripts for short films that I wish to create in my time at Pace University. I'll be graduating in May, 2026 and I plan to pursue a career in any area of filmmaking, with a preference for Producing, Directing, Editing, or Writing. My goal is to create thought-provoking films that push the boundaries of right and wrong while exploring topics of hardships and mental illness. In the meantime, I will be improving my skills as a filmmaker and storytelling and building a professional network. I am always open to connections and opportunities to improve my craft.
