About Alisha Doherty

Where to start. Here’s a little about me! I am a mum of two terrors, and they are my motivation every single day I a newly qualified midwife working at Bolton Foundation Trust I am director and one third of Integrated Maternity, which I am so proud of! Myself and two other student midwives came together to create Integrated Maternity to help break down communication barriers for non-English speaking families accessing maternity services. It’s been a huge achievement for us and I’m so excited to share our maternity communication tools with you all! I also founded the very first midwifery society at the University of Bolton with my business partner to promote peer support, friendships and a community and I am also student ambassador for my cohort and have been since my first year at uni I was recently voted and won the following awards - student midwife of the year 2023 - most supportive student midwife 🥰 - most organised student midwife - the biggest bookworm I am passionate about all things midwifery-related, woman empowerment, business and sciencey things (I am a bit of a geek like that!). I am also very clearly an emoji fanatic 🤭 I love meeting new people, being a cheerleader and I always try and stay super positive! Send me a connection invite; I am always happy to meet new people.
