About Alisha Narain

I am recent graduate at Humber College enrolled in the Broadcast Television/Videography program. I have a strong desire in pursuing a future career in broadcasting and a passion for creating original content to bring to the public. During my first year at Humber College, I worked in a professional studio, assuming various roles, such as Camera Operator, Audio Operator, Floor Director and Host. In addition, I created scripts, rundowns and production pitches for my own productions. I am familiar with editing softwares such as Adobe Premier, Avid Media Composer, Pro Tools and DaVinci. I gained valuable field experience while filming and editing my own Swede and documentary, a selection from 50 other documentaries. This experience afforded me the opportunity to oversee my vision unfold paying close attention to detail in every shot. In my second year, despite the limitations due to COVID, I produced a basketball show with the Men and Women’s Basketball team at Humber. I directed the entire production process from organizing interviews with the players to instructing classmates on their various roles. Towards the end of the school year, I was recommended by one of my professors to be part of (Canadian International Fashion Film Festival) where I worked on a project to produce and edit a fashion film for their social media account. As a volunteer at Roger's TV in Kitchener, I worked in-studio on graphics and in the audio booth during their live TV Bingo. While working at the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) games in Guelph, I set up monitors and cameras throughout the arena. During the games I alternated between operating cameras and the audio board in the mobile truck.
