About Alisha Singh

I’m a History and Law student with experience across legal advice, casework, research, and community service. At Citizens Advice, I’ve supported clients with housing, employment, and welfare issues conducting initial interviews, identifying key legal problems, and explaining available options in a clear, empathetic way. Through my university’s Law Clinic, I’ve helped draft legal advice letters, carried out detailed research, and contributed to case strategy under supervision. My internship at Singhania & Co. exposed me to commercial law, where I assisted in preparing documents, reviewing contracts, and observing how client relationships are managed in a professional setting. I joined an NGO supporting visually impaired students at my university, where I helped create accessible study materials and gained a better understanding of inclusive education. I’ve also undertaken military training, which developed my ability to work under pressure, manage time effectively, and remain calm in challenging situations. Academically, I’m researching how patent laws affect access to medicines, using a socio-legal lens to explore inequality in the pharmaceutical sector. Across all of these roles, I’ve built skills in communication, critical thinking, and responsibility and I’m motivated to use them in a career focused on welfare and access to justice.
