About Alisha Standing

With over 10 years of combined in-house and agency communications experience, I have dedicated the last few years spearheading both external and internal efforts for iRobot in EMEA and supporting the goals of the company and collaborating with my broader corporate communications team. I have been described as entertaining, creative and empathetic. As a PR professional, I am organised, efficient and maintain fantastic relationships with my peers, clients and journalists at leading titles, across the UK and EMEA. I can demonstrate an extensive track record of generating press coverage through news, reviews and influencers. I have executed unique and memorable launch events, CEO global tours, managed crises and placed products in TV shows. I have also supported numerous startups developing their PR Program, primed their positioning within their market, profiled CEOs and supported on Series funding announcements. I am used to working across company departments and lines of business to bring news, products, services and people to market. I also collaborate with external PR and Influencer dedicated agency teams for support and plan execution. Other achievements include- Launched a podcast called Conversations With Colour (2024-onwards)- Appeared in documentary called Vanishing Women on diversity in the workplace (2023)- National Diversity Award Finalist - Role Model Award: Race, Religion & Faith (2022)- Regular speaker on the BBC - BBC News, World Service and Asian Network (2021- onwards)- Psychotherapy and Philosophy Diploma - The Philadelphia Association (2020)- Guest Speaker at University of Dundee, Edinburgh University, Kingston University, University of the Arts - Created and chaired a panel on the effect of Brexit at University of the Arts (2017)- MENSA Award (2005)
