About Alison Auger

I am a writer and editor with 7+ years of experience. I am also an avid reader with an eye for detail and creativity. I have recently returned to the US from Korea, where I taught in ESL and worked as an editor for a major adult education company. I am currently looking for a position where I can utilize my keen eye for grammar, astute reading skills, and adeptness in formatting. Over the course of my career, I have been involved in every stage of the publishing process from first draft to final proof. While working at the literary organization Tethered by Letters, I worked closely with new writers to elevate their writing to a publishable level. I also prepared content for the website, wrote grant proposals, and wrote book reviews. While at the literary journal Copper Nickel, I helped select pieces to be included in each issue. Even while I was working as an ESL teacher for the Korean hagwon SLP, I proofread and spellchecked countless essays, sentences, and homework assignments. Finally, and most recently, I edited and copy edited almost every publication for the Speaking Proficiency Enhancement Program (SPEP) in Korea.
