I have always had a passion for achieving the finished look, whether it is visually or commercially satisfying, from the store entrance and throughout the customers shopping experience. Utilising the skills I have developed over the years, it has now opened doors to new opportunities within the building industry, allowing me to take on a design and sales consultant role for residential and commercial projects. With a solid background in Visual Merchandising and a fellow of the British display society, I have over 20 year’s experience within the creative/retail industry. During my time at Laura Ashley, I was able to build my career on strong foundations and progress to visual department manager as a loyal and beneficial employee. With a proven track record of delivering results to a high standard along with managing and developing a team of field VM’s and store teams, I fully understand the importance of teamwork ensuring a positive workplace whilst balancing creative & commercial awareness in order to successfully deliver all round. Over the years I have gained knowledge and experience in: • Home furnishings and Fashion, enhancing retail and visual merchandising standards. • Creating company guidelines which are both inspiring and user friendly. • Project managed new store openings and refits from concept to completion. • Customer service including building relations with internal external suppliers. • Taken great pride showcasing the iconic quintessential Laura Ashley brand on numerous PR events including the design and installation process of press shows, catalogue shoots, exhibitions, and internal/external events.
