Truly honored to have 16 years dedicated to helping individuals struggling with problems related to Dual-Diagnosis. I am very passionate about the counseling psychology field and the clients I work with! On a typical day working at a treatment program, you’d find me facilitating a group counseling session, listening attentively during an individual counseling session, teaching employee trainings on dual diagnosis and substance abuse treatment or I’m facilitating a psycho ed class for clients on Addiction and Recovery. You might also find me reaching out to community supports and scheduling potential guest speakers for client specific groups such as parenting. When I’m not meeting w clients or teaching, I’m collaborating w my team for clinical group supervision or I’m processing challenging clinical cases during individual supervision. During my free time, my focus is on self care, which has a positive outcome for not just myself but also for clients. In my community, I volunteer as a Cub Scout Leader and local substance abuse prevention/education group. My interest in being connected to substance abuse in my community is influenced by my ambition to help break the stigma and spread awareness as much as I can.
