About Alison Celmer

As a Learning Leader and Designer, my career journey has uniquely blended two passions: design and education. I began my professional path as an interior designer before transitioning into public education, where I’ve spent the past several years shaping the learning experience for students and educators alike. I’ve held roles as a Kindergarten Teacher, Middle School Teacher, Literacy Coach, and, most recently, served as an Elementary Principal for 7.5 years in central Vermont. A passionate advocate for Universal Design for Learning (UDL), I’m certified in UDL principles and dedicate myself to supporting educators in creating inclusive, accessible learning experiences for all students. If the conversation turns to Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) or UDL, be prepared for a lively discussion—I could talk about these topics for hours! Beyond teaching and leadership, I thrive on organizing systems and spaces to make them more effective, efficient, and sustainable. This energy has inspired me to launch WhiteSpace Design Co, a consulting business focused on bringing intentional design to create a more balanced and fulfilling life.
