About Alison Chambers
Hi there, I have been heavily involved in Health Promotion as a LSP officer and fitness professional since 2013. I’m passionate about developing my knowledge and skill set so that I can effectively promote physical activity through strategic thinking and partnership. I have worked with stakeholders and shareholders across Cork city and county. As local facilitator of the Get Cork Walking Initiative, I was lucky to work with partners including CLSP, Get Ireland Walking, Cork Kerry Community Healthcare, MTU and UCC amongst many others. I'm also lucky to be supported by Sport Ireland and CLSP in terms of upskilling and development of my skills and knowledge as I move into the Community Sports Hub development and coordination sector. I hope to be involved in health promotion long into the future with the help of the relationships I have built over many years working in this area.
