I am an experienced Social Worker with work experience both in Queensland and Victoria. I’m currently exploring a long standing interest in Palliative Care - I’m excited to see where this new step takes me! I have 17 years of Social Work experience - the vast majority spent with Queensland Health in clinical and non-clinical leadership, education and project roles. Highlights include: Practice Lead - Queensland Health Social Work and Welfare Clinical Education Program - designed and implemented comprehensive clinical education content and resources for the Queensland Health Social Work workforce. Domestic Violence Coordinator, Princess Alexandra Hospital - developed and implemented a hospital wide response to Domestic and Family Violence including advanced level strategic and clinical leadership, staff education, specialist clinical liaison and inter-agency service planing. Senior Social Worker and Social worker positions - clinical practice in acute and rehabilitation health in inpatient and community settings with specific experience in Acquired Brain Injury and Spinal Cord Injury acute care and rehabilitation, trauma, orthopaedics, intensive care, emergency care. Social Worker - Victorian Spinal Cord Service - sole practitioner position across 2 multidisciplinary community teams within the Victorian Spinal Cord Service, Spinal Community Services. I have experience supervising staff and managing small teams and projects to produce quality clinical and organisational outcomes. I enjoy working in multidisciplinary environments, case management, staff and student education, report writing, psychosocial assessment, and developing strong therapeutic relationships to provide person centred, goal focused interventions.
