About Alison Decinti

I have been working with Girl Scouts since August 2017. I joined the Board Development Committee for Girl Scouts NC Coastal Pines in 2016, while working at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke as their Assistant Vice Chancellor for Advancement. I have over 15 years experience in philanthropy. I've had the privilege of being the Executive Director of a Children's Museum, managing a 14 million dollar campaign in Richmond County with Discovery Place – KIDS and spent the majority of my career in the Central Development Office for UNC Pembroke. While in higher education I've worn many hats - Assistant Director of Major and Planned Giving, Assistant Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations, Director of Development and finally Assistant Vice Chancellor for Advancement. During my tenure in higher education I closed the largest gifts in the school's history. As the Chief Development Officer, I oversee the Fund Development Team as well as the Fund Development Committee. A graduate from Newberry College with a Bachelors of Arts in Communication and Minor in Speech and Theatre, she is a recognized leader and proud member of Leadership North Carolina, Class XXII.
