About Alison Everingham

Alumni of Central Michigan University, and earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in RPL: Concentration in Therapeutic Recreation (recreational therapy) and a minor in leadership. Throughout my time in my undergraduate career, I gained experience not only in volunteer settings, but also within professional roles such as coordinating/facilitating a large range of programs as a recreational therapy intern for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities in a community-based recreation setting, and providing one on one therapy for children diagnosed with autism as a registered behavior technician (RBT) in a clinical/center based setting. As an RBT, I am certified in Professional Crisis Management, CPR/First Aid, and have gained experience with case management. Additionally, I have gained experience within the parks and recreation industry in my role as a recreation generalist, with responsibilities such as using the management software system ActiveNet in order to plan, implement and advertise for youth enrichment programming, and assisting with summer camp as a camp director; gained additional leadership experience through supervising part-time employees, and gained proficiency in using When2Work application for employee scheduling, as well as Canva for advertisement/marketing.
