About Alison Field

An experienced HR specialist, with wide experience across a range of industries, including professional/legal, charity, finance and now engineering. I am used to working at a senior level to determine and implement the HR strategy within an organisation, fundamental to the growth and success of any business. Key skills include- • Recruitment and selection – all aspects, attracting talented people from diverse backgrounds, including senior managers, professional, technical and support staff. Management of administration, induction and onboarding processes. Qualified in psychometric testing and assessment centres. • Graduate, work experience and apprenticeship programmes – recruitment, co-ordination and ongoing management, providing future talent and succession planning for organisations. • Training and development – planned, designed and delivered employee and volunteer training to achieve organisational objectives. Evaluation showed high satisfaction levels among attendees and led to achievement of business objectives. • Employee relations – applied understanding of HR best practice and employment legislation to effectively manage grievances, disciplinary matters, disputes, restructures and contractual changes, r resulting in minimal further action/increased harmony in the workplace. • Policies – initiated, implemented and maintained HR, training and development policies, procedures and solutions where previously did not exist, to support organisational requirements and develop highly effective teams. • Performance management – developed frameworks to monitor progress and develop skills, resulting in improved performance and morale, higher levels of engagement and reduced sickness absence. • Project management – successfully lead project teams to the achievement of outcomes such as “Investors in People”, “National Health and Wellbeing Charter”, Lexcel (Law Society) accreditation. • Organisational change – experienced in change management and providing HR contribution to transformation within organisations leading to increased income and membership. • Employee engagement and wellbeing – introduced initiatives such as family friendly policies, employee surveys, communications initiatives,"Employer of Choice" award. I obtained a PGCE in primary education in 2020 and I am teaching on a part-time basis. I have a particular interest in education, with experience of working and volunteering in schools and working with students who have special needs.
