About Alison Harris

Alison Harris is Senior Project Manager at RBC Capital Markets. She is a former Insurance Advisor and Development Coach at TD Insurance. Previously she was a Third Party Development Coordinator at Children's Wish Foundation of Canada, Nova Scotia Chapter. She is a graduate of Mount Saint Vincent University now holding a Bachelor of Public Relations (Co-operative Education Route) and a minor in marketing. As an RBC Career Launch Associate, Alison spent six months working as a Client Advisor at the RBC Almon St branch and three months at her second rotation working as a Development Coordinator for The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada - Nova Scotia Chapter. She completed her third rotation at a member of the RBC Atlantic Public Affairs Team. Alison has spent time working in various not-for-profit, government and corporate environments during her time in the workforce. Before joining RBC she was a Program Assistant for the Student Employment Programs unit with the Nova Scotia Department of Labour and Advanced Education. Over the course of her degree Alison completed three co-ops work terms, each very different. She worked with the District of Lunenburg Recreation Department as the Summer PR/Office Manager, Atlantic Filmmakers Co-operative as the PR Assistant for the Halifax Independent Filmmakers Festival and as an Outreach Assistant with the Aquaculture Association of Nova Scotia. Alison spent four and a half years working for Indigo, first as a Customer Service Representative and later as a Cashier on Duty. During her time at Indigo, Alison was able to apply her public relations skills through additional work towards the creation of a store social media plan and event coordination. When Alison isn’t working she can be found with her nose buried in a book, organizing a dinner party or planning her next adventure abroad and catching up on the latest social media trends.
