Background
About Alison Hazelbaker
I have been a therapist for 35 years in private practice. As a result of my own upbringing with a mentally ill mom, I have dedicated myself to the transformation of lives through supporting conscious parenting, especially through the act of breastfeeding. To achieve my personal and professional goals and to optimally assist my clients, I have taken training in multiple modalities which include craniosacral therapy, lymphatic drainage therapy, developmental process work, energy psychology, and pre and perinatal psychology. My most recent project has been to help Union Institute and University develop its master's degree program in lactation consulting. I am an adjunct clinical professor there and am learning as much as my students! I find it very rewarding to help my students achieve their professional goals in maternal-child health. This experience has sparked an interest in online education and I am now developing an online education site to help train prospective lactation therapists.
