About Alison Hunter

I am a registered AASW social worker who has community experience in education, wellbeing, child protection, youth justice & family support. I offer freelance & contracted Social Work Clinical Supervision as an AAOS registered provider & have accreditation with Supervision Alliance. I currently work as a field educator supervising Social Work students on placement both Masters & Bachelor level. I also tutor casually at University both online & personally, in a foundation studies program for an entry level psychology & human behaviour course & in a post graduate certificate in Grief Bereavement & loss. I offer Yin yoga & meditation classes locally fortnightly, I run weekend retreats with the same focus & am also facilitating crystal singing bowl workshops. I am also available for corporate workshops using these skills, PosPsych & wellbeing. I specialise in Self-Care & prioritising wellbeing & yourself. I work from an evidence base using intuitive practice wisdom to provide individual, person centred approaches. One size definitely does not fit all. My passion is wellness & wellbeing, I am developing an evidence based practitioner space within this field. My business/career growth will be targeted to offer a range of wellbeing, self care & career support using my current skills & education. Including Social Work Clinical Supervision, Career Coaching & Mentoring. Corporate Yoga for relaxation & improved mood, meditation & mindfulness to support the management of stress, anxiety, sleeplessness & self-care. I am a lover of philosophy, spiritual wisdom, creativity & curiosity. I have a teenage footballer daughter, a crafty & unique husband & 2 perfect pooches at home which feature often on my social media. I run workshops of all kinds; Singing Bowls, yin & restorative Yoga, Retreats & meditation. I do NOT get away camping enough with my husband.
