About Alison Mayer

As a Licensed Clinical Practice Counselor and National Certified Counselor, I have over seven years of experience in providing mental health services to diverse populations. I am currently work as a staff therapist at SpringSource Psychological Center, PLLC, where I specialize in working with adolescents and families with eating disorders. I also serve as the Social Media Chair for the iaedp Heartland Chapter, where I manage the chapter's online presence and engage with members and followers on social media platforms. In addition to my clinical work, I have a strong background in fashion and design, having earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Fashion/Apparel Design from Michigan State University and an Associate of Science in Fashion Merchandising from the Fashion Institute of Technology. I am passionate about using my skills and knowledge to promote positive body image and self-esteem among individuals struggling with eating disorders and other mental health issues. I am committed to continuous learning and professional development, and I hold certifications in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and in the process of completing my certification as a certified eating disorder specialist from iaedp.
