Background

About Alison McCormack

I am a very positive, upbeat person who thrives on meeting new people from different cultures and backgrounds with a particular love of all things French. This is probably due to the wonderful eight years that I lived and worked in Paris, where I learnt to speak fluent French and made lifelong friends and connections. I love to work with people, colleagues and clients alike, as I’m very personable and communicative. I’m a particularly organized person, who actually really enjoys administrative work and problem solving. I have a background in sales and event management, having worked for Backup Marketing for over eight years, helping to run the Tesco Instore Program, which entailed organizing on average 250 in-store tastings nationwide per week. I also worked on the Staff Familiarization Program, both as an organizer and a team-leader bringing thousands of Tesco Ireland staff members to visit UK stores in England and Scotland. I also worked in retail both in Paris and Wicklow for a number of years, this really helped me to develop my people skills, where I always gave my honest opinion and developed lasting relationships with my customers and colleagues. All of my previous work experiences have given me the ability to fine tune my management, human resources and customer relations skills. These are an invaluable contribution to my current position in MindWell, where I help to manage a team of over thirty therapists nationwide.
