Currently, as Regional Business & Stakeholder Manager for the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), I advocate for small business interests by leading targeted campaigns, events, and lobbying efforts that influence stakeholders and policymakers. My career spans leadership roles in complex organisations, where I have consistently delivered high-level corporate communications aligned with organisational business planning and board priorities. I bring deep expertise in political and public service communications, crisis management, media relations, stakeholder engagement, and digital transformation. Key highlights of my professional journey include: Leading communications strategies and teams at Horsham District Council, where I transformed the service into a strategic, multi-channel operation, introduced digital innovation, managed emergency communications including Covid-19 response, and delivered award-winning behaviour change campaigns. Directing planning communications at Cratus Communications, overseeing political and community engagement for high-profile planning projects and driving business development. Managing Croydon Council’s communications through multiple high-profile campaigns, crises (including the 2011 riots), elections, and pioneering public engagement initiatives that achieved national recognition. Building and strengthening media relations, managing brand and reputation, and leading internal communications to increase engagement and support organisational goals. I hold a Postgraduate Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), ILM Level 5 in Coaching, and have completed specialised training in emergency planning, law for PR practitioners, and leadership development.
