About Alison Willis

Project Manager with twenty years’ experience in the voluntary sector. Roles at Amnesty International UK, Oxfam and International HIV/AIDS Alliance have been wide ranging, including production of a film, book and international conference to mark the Alliance’s 10th anniversary; creating and managing an events programme for Amnesty UK’s new Human Rights Action Centre, managing Amnesty UK’s annual Human Rights Media Awards and National Conference; and running regional campaigns for Oxfam. Managed a range of high profile arts projects ranging from a major photography exhibition with Magnum Photos, to an art installation at St Paul’s Cathedral with Turner Prize winning artist Mark Wallinger. Areas of interest include conservation, community development, the arts/culture, horticulture, regeneration. With a reputation for ‘getting things done’– being less interested in process, and more interested in achieving a successful end result. Enjoys team working - building relationships internally and externally; at Amnesty delivered many projects in partnership with other organisations and individuals. Significant experience of managing volunteers both in the office and out in the community and motivated by variety and creative contribution.
