Alissa Mrazek, Ph.D. is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin. Her research identifies the best ways to train self-regulation-the ability to direct one's attention, thoughts, emotions, and behavior in line with one's personal goals. She is currently working with high schools across the country to help teenagers develop key self-regulatory skills so they can focus in class, regulate their emotions, and have the mindsets to thrive. Alissa's work has been featured widely, including most recently in Time Magazine. She is the co-author of Presence of Mind: A Practical Introduction to Mindfulness & Meditation. She currently teaches Positive Psychology and The Good Life at UT Austin.
