About Alivia Baker
Hi! I’m a third year student athlete and chemical engineering student at the University of Dayton, minoring in philosophy. I am a huge space nerd and have a deep love for chemistry and biology as it relates to plants/ fungi in microgravity and extraterrestrial conditions. My most recent research experience has been conducted within NASA Glenn Research Center under LTX (low gravity technology and exploration), where I found a passion for the sustainability of long duration space exploration and the mitigation of human health risks. In my free time I enjoy yoga, DIY hydroponics, and rooting for the Dayton Flyers as a division 1 cheerleader. I plan to complete my undergraduate degree in May of 2026, and continue my educational journey to achieve a masters and doctoral degree.
