About Alix Rios

Texas born and raised, I grew up North of Dallas and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. I have a passion for helping others, and since I cringe at the sight of needles, design was the medium I chose to bring purpose to my career. The timeless impact architecture and design have on communities across the globe and over centuries sparked my unconditional love for design, and inspires my travel agenda each year. With an eclectic portfolio ranging from corporate office to higher education, and now retail, I thrive under the challenge of multi-faceted interiors and diverse teams. A symbiotic relationship should exist between a building and it's occupants, and that shared breath is crucial to a successful project. My motto is to provide a space that functions without notice, with a design you can't help but notice. Every successful design, has a successful team behind it. I believe Interior Design is a team sport and I actively engage all parties to ensure a nimble design flow. I am a well-rounded registered Interior Designer, and wear many hats on a typical project including team leadership, technical detailing, consultant coordination, design, furniture selection, and more. Outside the office, I love grabbing tacos, tasting the local craft beers of cities I visit, and (my guilty pleasure) watching classic chick flicks.
