About Aliya Everett

Aliya is a graduate student at the University of Central Florida in the DeVos Sport Business Management Program, where she's earning a dual MBA/MSBM. With a background in broadcast journalism from Florida A&M University, Aliya brings strong skills in writing, storytelling, reporting, and public speaking that translate seamlessly into the sports business world. She was deeply involved in student leadership and recruitment at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. She traveled nationwide to engage students while proudly representing the university's academic achievements. Her efforts made a significant impact, highlighted by her distinction of becoming the first transfer student elected as Miss Florida A&M University. Currently, Aliya serves on Team SBM as the Social Media Chair for the DeVos Program, where she oversees strategy and creates engaging content across all program platforms. This role allows Aliya to combine her creative skill set with her passion for connection, leadership, and brand storytelling. Her goal is to merge her communication expertise with sports business management to help shape the future of the industry.
