About Aliyah Karen

As a seasoned leader with over 25 years of experience in healthcare management, strategic planning, branding, PR, and communications, I am passionate about driving excellence in every facet of my work. Currently, I serve as the Group CEO, leading the corporate restructuring of a dialysis division within a major international medical facility that includes diagnostic healthcare and health screening services. My entrepreneurial journey has led to the successful establishment of ABA Resources, ABA Luka Care, and AKRAB Resources. Additionally, I am the driving force behind Yayasan Health on World (YHOW) and serve as an advisor to A Leap Of Faith (ALOF), a foundation I initiated with a group of close friends. Academically, I hold a Doctorate in Management, an MBA specializing in HR Management from Nottingham Trent University (UK), and a degree in Public Relations from IPRM. I’m also a certified trainer in both the US and Malaysia, a role I embrace alongside my corporate responsibilities. For 22 years, I was the CEO of a foundation dedicated to kidney and heart charities, leveraging my expertise to offer valuable insights to the healthcare sector. My dedication to humanitarian causes, education, and global impact continues to fuel my initiatives locally and internationally. I’ve been honored with awards such as Woman’s Icon Malaysia, Inspiring Woman of Malaysia, Oxford Manager of the Year (2018), and several Women Leadership Awards. In 2020, I was appointed Global Goodwill Ambassador of Malaysia, a testament to my lifelong commitment to social impact. In addition to my professional roles, I serve as an Adjunct Professor at UNITAR International, a member of the Community of Practitioners (COP) at UPM, a Talent Fellow with Talent Corp Malaysia, and a panelist at the Higher Education Leadership Academy (AKEPT). My advocacy for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles remains a core focus in today’s ever-evolving landscape. A multitasker at heart, I strive to make a meaningful difference in everything I do.
