About Aliza Tropper

My Practice focuses on anxiety disorders, trauma, depression, relationships and severe emotional dysregulation. It can be hard to assess if treatment is really working. I use evidenced based modalities so you can experience measurable change. I specialize in the treatment of children, adolescents and adults with anxiety disorders, depression and pervasive emotional dysregulation. I received my masters in Counseling from CUNY Brooklyn College. I have a very diverse background in training and experience and provide a holistic approach in treatment. I have advanced training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Exposure Response Prevention (OCD)(from the University of Pennsylvania’s COTTAGE Program). I completed level 1 of sensorimotor psychotherapy, a somatic and attachment based treatment modality to help those who have been traumatized. I take an holistic approach with my clients and incorporate aspects of Mindfulness, CBT, DBT, EMDR and take a trauma focused approach. I have a unique perspective on dealing with clients difficulties through multiple lenses. My goal is to develop a strong therapeutic relationship that is based on openness and acceptance. I create an individualized plan for each client and give you practical tools to help you with life's challenges. I am down to earth, current and non-judgmental.
