Based out of Victoria, BC, I am a strategic and values-driven finance leader with over 20 years of executive experience across both international and local non-profit sectors. My leadership is anchored in equity, integrity, and impact—supporting mission-driven organizations to make timely, effective decisions through strategic analysis, financial stewardship, and governance excellence. I specialize in aligning financial strategy with organizational purpose, leading multi-year planning and budgeting, strengthening board governance, and guiding teams through complex transitions. My leadership style is assertive, empathic and collaborative, focused on clarity, accountability, and long-term sustainability. With deep expertise in business planning and cost-benefit analysis, I help organizations assess strategic options, optimize resource allocation, and build financially resilient models that support mission delivery. I’ve worked across 20+ countries—including East and Southern Africa, parts of Europe, and across Canada—leading diverse teams through organizational restructuring, program impact evaluations, emergency response, and compliance frameworks. I’ve partnered with regional and national teams to deliver strategic reviews, operational realignment, and financial sustainability planning. Outside the boardroom, I bring a unique dimension to leadership through my passion for mountaineering and experiential education. With over 15 years of hands-on experience leading adventure expeditions across East Africa, I’ve designed and facilitated youth outdoor education programs, team-building retreats, and multi-day fundraising expeditions that blend adventure with purpose. My certifications from the Outward-Bound Mountain School include youth outdoor leadership development, high-altitude mountaineering, bushcraft, campcraft, wilderness first aid, technical rock climbing, and search & rescue. This fusion of strategic insight and experiential leadership enables me to create space for teams to grow, adapt, and lead with intention—whether in the field or at the executive table.
