Background
About Allen Dave Luis
I am a licensed secondary education teacher at James Campbell High School. Currently, I teach both general and special education students concurrently as an English inclusion teacher for James Campbell High School’s Academy of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. My current research interests lies at the intersection between the indigenous and English language features (both literature and composition). I am currently building an online resource teaching the linguistic features of Hawaii Creole English, locally known as Pidgin. I have previously exercised discourse on the perspective of Pidgin in schools and accepting it in the classroom. I have also ventured in other issues in English, such as composition amidst AI as well as effects of COVID on Writing Program Administration.
