About Allen King

I began my professional journey at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Native Health Services, and Phoenix Indian Medical Services. These roles fueled my passion for helping Elders and Native Americans access essential healthcare services. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I collaborated with NextGen Laboratories and Native Health Services to develop testing facilities on reservations across the U.S, ensuring Native Americans had access to vaccinations and healthcare. Since 2013, I have been a frequent speaker at conferences across the U.S, advocating for Native American healthcare. My public speaking engagements address substance abuse, alcoholism, and mental health challenges. As a person in recovery, I am deeply inspired to tackle these issues head-on. I actively volunteer for many organizations and grassroots efforts. I am a Chair Member for Outreach and Recruitment for the Urban Indian Coalition of AZ and volunteer with Native Health Services. I also participate in community powwows, performing Northern Traditional and Gourd dances. As a certified Firestarter with the Wellbriety Movement, I promote holistic recovery and wellness. As the former Chief Administrative Officer for Sunrise Native Recovery, I developed treatment programs to sustain patient sobriety, providing high-quality care for trauma and mental health issues while helping patients reconnect with their culture. Recently, I served as CEO for Whispering Creek Health, where I established a behavioral health outpatient clinic for Native Americans, integrating modern medical practices with traditional healing methods. Now, as a consultant, I leverage my extensive experience to support organizations in healthcare administration, behavioral health advocacy, and community development. My consulting services help organizations achieve their goals and make a positive impact on the communities they serve. I am also a keynote motivational speaker, addressing topics such as substance abuse, culturally related programs, science, suicide prevention, reentry programs, and tribal wellness court programs. My aim is to inspire and empower individuals and communities through my speaking engagements. In summary, I am dedicated to advocating for and improving the health and wellness of Native American communities. I look forward to continuing this important work through my consulting services and public speaking engagements.
