About Alli Lancaster

Growing up in a family that didn't quite share the same interest as me in four legged creatures, I quickly learned where I could find the time with them elsewhere. Beginning at age six, I was already negotiating horse riding lessons in place of having my very own pony. In my early teen years I became more involved as a stable hand and horse training intern, soaking up literally any experience I could get with the thousand pound creatures! My love for horses only blossomed further into my love for animals in general when I began working as a veterinary assistant in a handful of rural clinics in my community. Experiences like these fueled my passion for animal welfare, and ultimately, my desire to pursue Animal Sciences at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. In conjunction with this degree, I've been fortunate to have the opportunity to explore many avenues of animal care. Looking for a wrangler? Ranch hand? Research assist? Veterinary technician?
