About Allie Eberhardt

After graduating from Adelphi University in 1980, Allie started working for a small cable company on Long Island. Producing/Directing and creating content for a local programming channel. All the while his love for music became a perfect blend when MTV came along in the early eighties. In his 15 years at MTV, Eberhardt worked “with everyone from Miles to Madonna.” He left MTV to help Pioneer produce live music content for its new technology, the laserdisc. In the process he moved from rock ‘n roll to jazz “and I discovered what cool really was.” In 1994, Eberhardt was called back to create MTV.com. By he was off again, joining Shooting Galley to develop content in the New Media realm. He left in 2002 to create a company called Smoke, which “helped all the big acronyms like NBC, ESPN, SI and, of course, MTV adapt their content to new technologies.” The evolution of technology is nothing new to Eberhardt. From his early days producing groundbreaking shows for MTV to launching an interactive programming site online, he’s built a reputation for spotting up-and-coming trends. Allie created Digital Habitat in 2007 - a personalized service for homeowners looking to expand, evolve or upgrade their digital entertainment systems, or for those who simply need help troubleshooting day-to-day tech problems. With clarity and patience, Digital Habitat guides clients through the overwhelming options available in the consumer technology space and helps them gain a better understanding of their current systems, enabling them to make the most of their technology.
