About Allie W.

I currently support community arts projects throughout the city of Indianapolis. I manage administrative tasks for the Future Friends Holographic Magic Club gallery in Fountain Square, an art space that centers marginalized voices. I am also the founder of Dark-Sky Indy, an organization that works to combat light pollution through art, education, and policy engagement. In late 2020 I completed my MSc in Environment & Development at the University of Edinburgh. I received a Distinction in both my degree and my dissertation, which explored sociocultural perspectives on space-based light pollution and outer space sustainability across Scotland. I am passionate about light pollution mitigation & social aspects of outer space sustainability, & I have an extensive background in project management, supervising employees, & representing organizations through interdisciplinary collaboration & relationship-building.
