About Allison Banegas

With over 9 years of work experience in accounting, finance, and administration, I am a passionate and driven professional who strives to deliver excellence and innovation in my field. I have a strong background in managing multiple areas of accounting, such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. I also have a keen interest in new business development, and I enjoy finding and pursuing opportunities to grow and diversify the revenue streams of the organizations I work with. Currently, I am the Director of Finance and Administration at the Home Builders Association of Raleigh - Wake County (HBA), where I oversee the financial health and operations of the association and its affiliates. In my current role at HBA, I leverage my accounting expertise and new business development skills to provide strategic guidance and support to the executive team, the board of directors, and the staff. I am responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and audits, as well as ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. I also manage and supervise the accounting, human resources, and administrative functions of the association, and I collaborate with various stakeholders and partners to identify and implement best practices and initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
