About Allison Brown

Allison is a bilingual and multicultural facilitator who brings her whole heart into the room. Her experience spans group facilitation, community engagement, conflict transformation and mediation. Allison helps groups have effective meetings, reach their goals and ensure participants feel ownership over their process. As a former educator, she also has extensive experience in training, teaching, and mentoring in both local, national, and international programs and settings. She led major public involvement processes in the Portland metropolitan area, facilitating diverse groups through complex and controversial strategic planning and policy setting processes. Allison is deeply committed to helping kids, families and communities succeed in learning spaces, and ensuring that people feel seen and heard in planning processes. Allison is originally from rainy Hilo, Hawaii, and has lived and worked in Mexico, Germany, Spain and Northern Ireland before landing in rainy Portland, Oregon.
