About Allison Callow

As a connector, writer, and activist, I connect ideas from different fields to create new ways of approaching social problems, telling stories, and engaging with people. I work at the crossroads of sectors, communities, and culture through social impact and community building in order to drive social and environmental change. Driven by curiosity and pursuit of justice, I have spent 10+ years managing and coordinating projects, leading teams, building relationships, and evaluating impact in the areas of sustainability, education, health, and politics. As the current Research Development Manager at LA County’s Office of Environmental Justice and Climate Health, I oversee administration of the critically important Aliso Canyon Disaster Health Research Study and support the office in policy analysis and communications. My specialties include program management, development and evaluation, policy analysis, grant writing, grant evaluation, communications, advocacy, and organizational management. My interests include climate change policy, sustainable cities, and social justice. I have a MPA degree from USC’s Sol Price School of Public Policy and a BA in International Relations with a specialization in Global Health, Resources and the Environment, from UC Davis.
