Current Certification for Surgical Technologist by the NBSTSA. Member of the AST.ORG. My daily work requires familiarity with the department and/or hospital policies, services, layout and organization of L&D O.Rs and delivery rooms. Anticipating the needs of and assisting the OBGYN or Laborist in delivery of infants daily. Regularly helping or checking in with Charge RN in assisting with stocking and organization when needed in the unit. I currently provide feedback and report to the Charge RN regarding performance issues of the department equipment or processes when issues arise. Participate in meetings as requested for department. I currently answer basic patient service questions from families calling requesting information about their families procedure and perform routine tasks and other duties as assigned by the Charge RN and/or the Director. I am comfortable speaking confidently to doctors and any medical staff about any circumstance that may arise.
