About Allison Cerone

After graduating from USF with my Masters in Nursing I moved to Washington State where I then completed the Versant Nurse Residency Program. I was employed as a RN on an oncology/ hematology unit after the residency. While working for Harrison Medical Center I was active in my unit council, the Nurse Quality Council, the CAUTI council, and was crossed trained in SANE. As part of the residency I completed RROHC certification including a poster project which won my partners and myself a trip to the 2014 Magnet Conference. After leaving Washington State I accepted a Case Management position with Sutter Health. While the environment can be challenging, I found past experiences and skills from bedside nursing, the CNL program, and my undergraduate education in Psychology to lend well to the role. I returned to the Pacific North West in 2018 and found my way back to Oncology. I spent three and a half years at Peacehealth Southwest Medical Center where I held the title of Nurse Navigator in the radiation oncology clinic. I was the coordinator for several monthly tumor boards and championed multiple Commission on Cancer (COC) projects from 2019-2022. My role within the clinic involved weekly assessments of on treatment patients, wound care, navigation, and triage. I was also responsible for completing all Survivorship Care plans per COC expectations. I currently work for Legacy Health providing Nurse Navigation to patients in WA and OR. I navigate patients with a diagnosis of esophageal, head & neck, or thoracic cancer. OCN certified in February 2024.
