About Allison Grettenberg

Writing is what I am most passionate about and what I get to do on a daily basis while working as a Strategic Communications Specialist at Two Rivers Marketing in Des Moines, Iowa. At Two Rivers Marketing I am in charge with writing product press releases and coordinating media alerts for a major construction equipment company. Day to day writing assignments vary, allowing me to gain better understanding of the equipment world. Prior to working at Two Rivers Marketing I was the editor of the Dallas County News (newspaper) in Adel, Iowa. As the only writer on staff, I was the go-to person for just about everything including writing, editing and laying out stories; taking photography; and coordinating interviews. I was named the 2014 Young Journalist of the Year and awarded multiple first, second and third place awards at the Iowa Newspaper Foundation. I am a 2010 graduate from Simpson College with a major in Mass Communications/ Journalism with a minor English. Specialties: Copy editing, press releases, product launch releases, coordinating media events, photography, InDesign and Photoshop.
