As the Vice President of Education and Quality Operations at Brightside Academy, I oversee the planning and management of programs and projects that enhance the educational outcomes and operational excellence of the organization. With a master's degree in urban education, a principal certification, and 9+ years of experience in various leadership roles, I have a strong background and passion for improving the quality and accessibility of education for diverse and underserved communities. I have a passion for empowering educators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and driving educational excellence. I am skilled at developing and coaching instructional leaders, designing and facilitating professional development, and recommending and implementing effective educational materials and practices. I have successfully led and supported 700 students and 90 staff at Mastery Schools, where I improved the school's academic performance, culture, and engagement. Fun fact, I have also leveraged my expertise in spinning and fitness to serve as a lead instructor at City Fitness, where I create an inviting and energizing environment for members.
