About Allison Kim

I’m a multi-talented individual who is organized and detail-oriented. A definite self-starter, I am able to strategize and prioritize effectively to accomplish multiple tasks while maintaining excellent internal and customer relationships. Once I decide to do something, I hit the ground running. This is evident in not only my personal life, but my work life as well. When I decided I wanted a job with the world’s number one health and fitness site, Bodybuilding.com, the Marketing Director created an internship for me and within two weeks, hired me on full time. Setting personal goals for myself, I signed up for a bikini contest, not knowing what I was doing, lost inches, gained muscle and took second place. This year, I set a goal to run in a marathon. I decided to participate and run without any prior training. My knees were in so much pain, my calves were cramping and my feet were aching, I wanted to give up so many times, but I kept going. I’m that person. Once I say I’ll do something, it will happen. While at Bodybuilding.com I became a Jack, or Jill if you will, of all trades. I wanted to learn as many things as possible and as a result, I had my hands in everything. I conducted surveys in multiple countries, crafted emails, project managed, and secured product placements on daytime television shows including The Talk and The Price Is Right. I loved helping with the company’s social media presence, including communicating with over 3 million followers on Facebook. I recently assisted with a soon-to-be-launched private label women’s wellness brand, Nourish + Bloom, as well as helped develop Bodybuilding.com’s new brand campaign. I’m proud to say that in 2013, I saved the company 20% in the print advertising budget by using my relationship-building and negotiating skills.
