About Allison Lamonica

Hello! I'm Allison Lamonica, a full-time student at the University of Pittsburgh. I am majoring in marketing and have two minors in studio arts and museum studies. My career goal is to be able to combine my creativity and love of art with my marketing background. Through Pitt, I have been able to gain some experience by being on the student marketing team that worked to curate an exhibition at the University Art Gallery in the Fall of 2021. I also volunteer my time at the university's business research center, where I have participated in their studies throughout my college career.One of my favorite parts of my education has been the opportunities I have gotten through my museum studies minor. I have been able to go behind the scenes at many of the museums and galleries in Pittsburgh and learn about all the work that goes into running and operating that type of space. I am very passionate about creating/studying art and applying that creativity, intention, and care to all tasks. I choose to major in marketing because it seemed to mix my passion with some of my other skills, including organization, communication, and leadership. I am currently looking for a position that will allow me to use my experience after I graduate in April 2024.
