About Allison Mason

I am dedicated to fostering growth, healing, and transformation—both in my clinical work and in social work education. Since 2010, I have provided therapy to adults and adolescents in NE Oklahoma, having clinical social work experience in community mental health, residential treatment, and private practice, with a specialization in addressing the impact of traumatic experiences, foster/adoption kinship network community members, and medical trauma. As both a clinician and educator, I am deeply committed to addressing the unique challenges faced by individuals and families in rural communities. Access to quality mental health care is essential, yet often limited, and I strive to bridge this gap by providing trauma-informed, evidence-based care that is both accessible and culturally responsive, and ensuring my students and licensees are equipped to do so as well. In my role as Director of MSW Field Instruction and Clinical Assistant Professor at Northeastern State University School of Social Work, I am dedicated to preparing the next generation of clinical social workers by #EducatingTheChange. I create a learning environment where students feel empowered to develop their skills, challenge their perspectives, and grow into compassionate, intelligent, and ethical professionals—equipped to serve and advocate for individuals in rural and underserved communities.
