Background

About Allison McCluskey

I am a recent graduate of the College of William and Mary's Geology and Environmental Science departments, interested in conservation-minded research, wildlife management, and environmental education. My innate curiosity about the natural world feeds my passion for interdisciplinary environmental engagement and education, especially regarding the earth sciences. My senior research involved the paleoecology of northeastern Florida Bay in the Everglades, FL under advisement of Dr. Lynn Wingard at USGS. I investigated the molluscan microfossil record and used the modern analog dataset to reconstruct hydrologic regimes since 400 CE. This work complements previous research conducted under the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP) and was presented at GSA's southeastern meeting in Columbia, SC in March 2016. Please contact me at ammccluskey@email.wm.edu.
