About Allison Minick

Allison Minick is a performer and writer/editor. She received an MFA in Acting from Columbia University and a BA in English & Dramatic Art from UC Davis. Allison's pilot script was listed in the Top Ten for the Final Draft screenwriting competition in 2022 (out of 8,212 submissions) and was ranked as #1 on Coverfly's Red List in 2023. At Columbia University she trained with Kristin Linklater, Anne Bogart, and Andrei Serban. She has studied at the acting studios of Bob Krakower, Ted Sluberski, and Annie Grindlay. Allison has appeared in numerous films, including ANONYMOUS (director: Reinaldo Marcus Green) and THE AUDITION (director: Mark Kirkland). She is one half of the comedy duo Main Wench with Liba Vaynberg. Their mockumentary was a finalist at the Los Angeles Comedy Festival and Screenplay Competition and at the Amsterdam International Film Festival, and their musical parodies have been featured on WhoHaha and Funny or Die. Select theatre credits: Lady Macbeth in MACBETH at Classic Stage Company (director: Tony Speciale) and Cleopatra in ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (director: John Adams). She originated leading roles in BRIEF HOURS AND WEEKS at the Frankel Theatre (director: Tyne Rafaeli) and WALKING ON WATER at 3LD in New York (written by Celine Song). She was also in the original production of THE MAIDS (written by José Rivera) at INTAR Theatre. Musical theatre credits include Little Sally in URINETOWN and Ado Annie in OKLAHOMA at the Mondavi Center (director: Mindy Cooper). She was the lead in the US premiere of Feydeau's farce NOW YOU SEE IT at North Coast Rep (director: Bruce Turk), and she originated the leading role in the 2-person play BEING SEEN, which received encore performances at the NY International Fringe Festival and was awarded a Fringe Favorite. Among her commercial credits, Allison was a principal actor in the STELLA ARTOIS national commercial starring Sarah Jessica Parker and Jeff Bridges which aired during the Super Bowl. She is extremely passionate about Shakespeare, musical theatre, and travel, and is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA & Actors' Equity.
