About Allison Pyle

I'm a mom of three interested in flexible, remote part-time work. I have a great deal of experience in writing, editing, and translation, and I love tutoring, especially math and test prep. I have an MA in Applied Linguistics, and I taught English Grammar to students in the Intensive English Program at the University of Dallas and helped ESL students in the program edit papers for courses and prepare for the TOEFL exam. I have also taught SAT and PSAT prep classes, and I received a perfect score on the writing section of the PSAT in high school. I have written newsletters for our ministry work with Wycliffe Bible Translators as well as for the Alumni Relations Department at Dallas International University. I also have experience translating and editing in Spanish, Swahili, and English. My first published story was a short story I submitted to Reader's Digest's Life in These United States humor department when I was 15. I also had the pleasure of editing a short book in 2022, and I have enjoyed tutoring students in math and other subjects over the years and helping people with computer problems. I am a detail-oriented person and enjoy helping others. For fun, I enjoy teaching ballet and watching movies with my husband and kids.
