About Allison Renfro

I am a junior at the University of North Texas majoring in Integrated Studies concentrating in Journalism, Anthropology, and Women’s and Gender Studies.I have experience lifeguarding which has taught me many valuable life skills such as basic first aid skills, CPR certifications, oxygen certifications, and the ability to work an AED. I am a Chi Omega at the University of North Texas which has also brought me many opportunities, connections, and valuable resources. I have held two positions during my time as a Chi Omega. For the 2022 school year I was the intramural chair, so my role was signing Chi Omega up for the various intramural sports and boosting team morale. Currently, I hold the position of the DEI chair in which I educate the chapter on diversity, equity, and inclusion along with how we can take an intersectional approach to DEI related issues.I also currently cohost a podcast through the KNTU radio on campus in which I advocate for women’s rights, human rights, and the environment. I touch on many controversial issues because I believe that it is important to have difficult conversations. Our podcast in titled “Americas most controversial podcast” because we believe in absolute free speech and the ability to find middle ground through difficult conversations.
