About Allison Robbins

I am currently attending the University of Maine and am majoring in Accounting, Finance, and Economics. I hope to earn my CPA accreditation after graduating from college and look to pursue my Master’s Degree in the future. I am currently a tax intern at Berry Dunn, furthering my understanding of tax and accounting concepts. I have had an opportunity to prepare individual, partnership, S-corporation, and C-corporation returns. In addition, I am gaining a hands-on experience with new tax and accounting software programs while developing a sense of professionalism in a business culture. My internship at Berry Dunn has allowed me to expand upon my previous experience as a tax preparer at H&R Block. While at H&R Block, I gained valuable experience preparing individual and sole proprietorship returns, meeting with clients and discussing their returns, and learning to navigate tense situations while communicating with a diverse group of clients. Some of my other positions such as tutoring, forming and captaining a math team, and working at Dunkin have also contributed to my leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Being excel-certified has also been extremely valuable throughout my academic and internship experiences. I believe that my various experiences combined with multiple majors give me a diverse group of skills to effectively navigate the business world.
