About Allison Selden

I am an extremely caring, patient, organized and compassionate person who truly enjoys working with students of all ages, especially elementary school aged students. In May 2012, I received my undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and the College of Education with Honors. The following year, I completed several graduate courses and my year long post-baccalaureate teaching internship through MSU's College of Education. In May 2018, I graduated from MSU's Masters of Arts and Education program, with a concentration in literacy and technology. I believe that having empathy for students is very important and being able to view situations from a students' perspective is important not only to understanding where they are coming from but to also understanding how that perspective influences that student's life within the classroom community. I also feel that it is very important to treat each child as an individual and to get to know them individually and use their skills and abilities to the fullest potential for that student.
